For the Need of Change

Karlie Kloss inspiration

From time to time I get the urge for a change in my hairstyle. When I say change, I mean a minor change because I am a chicken and will never cut it all off and go short or do something crazy with it’s colour (I’ve never coloured my hair in my life!). So basically nothing drastic, lame I know. So in order to fulfill my need for a bit of a change, I go with something small that won’t take me a long time to get rid of if I hate it and over the years this has been just changing up my bangs. A few weeks ago, I had this urge because a coworker sent me a picture of Karlie Kloss saying she thinks I would look cute with her cut and who wouldn’t think the style was nice because lets face it, anything Karlie does looks fabulous! Like I said, I will never go short with my hair (the reason for this being I am too lazy to always have to style it) but since my side bangs were growing out and I needed to go in for a trim, I decided I’d get full bangs. I immediately regretted it (like I do after most bang trims though because they are always a bit too short). Right away I was like alright I’m growing them out to be side bangs again, which luckily is only just over a month. It’s now been almost 3 weeks since I got them cut and they’re at a length where I’m starting to like them. It’s safe to say I have a total love-hate relationship with these bangs, so much to the point where I can love them in the morning and hate them by lunch. And what’s even more annoying is that this “perfect length” only lasts about a week and then they’re a bit too long and you have to get them trimmed, which makes them a bit too short and so starts the cycle again!

The middle part

The middle part

I’ve either had side or full bangs for the past 7 years and haven’t grown them out because I feel like I look best with some hair on my forehead. At the same time, I love the way a middle part looks and kind of want to try this too but I know it doesn’t suit me. Do you ever get the urge to try a certain trend or style, knowing that it won’t be your best look but its just so chic on other girls that you can’t help but want to do it anyway?
